Aman Volunteers is a program developed by the Aman Foundation that provides volunteer and service opportunities to students and professionals, and is aimed at helping nurture a culture of community service.
Aman Volunteers is intended as a platform through which citizens can come together and improve the city by participating in projects that will have a lasting impact. One such successful initiative was Shajar-e-Aman, whereby Aman members, celebrities, and leading activists planted 1000 trees to alleviate risks of future heat waves.
For further inquiries, to come on board as a partner organization, or to learn more about our specific volunteer initiatives, please reach out to us at email@example.com
United World College (UWC) and the Aman Foundation signed an agreement in 2013 to jointly fund and enable more than 20 Pakistani students to enter UWC schools and colleges every year to pursue a pre-university two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma.
The Foundation has joined hands with the UWC to fund scholarships for students from Karachi, with a special emphasis on female students from underserved backgrounds. A full scholarship includes tuition, boarding fees, academic expenses, travel cost, and stipend for the students. Partial scholarships are also granted based on student’s financial need.
Students are selected on merit, taking into account the criteria of the scholarships, the educational standard of 10th or 11th grade students in Pakistan and the attributes required for a student to succeed in UWC.
